Interior Delights launched their rebranded
e-commerce website on Shopify

This project is a little different here at PinkPot studio because the design was in collaboration with Ann Parker from Anthem Creative Co. to relaunch an online store for Interior Delights.

Interior Delights is a small, one of a kind, home decor & furnishings shop located near downtown Parker, Colorado. With constantly changing decor and displays, their customers can expect to find something different every time they stop in.

They are experts at pulling together lighting, rugs, home decor accessories & gifts with a popular neutral palette and helping their customers put things together that work well in their homes. An online store would help them reach more people while maintaining the spirit of their brick and mortar store.

When Ann came to me she said, “I had a hard time finding a developer that understood both design and development.

But she finally found me and we got to work.

Phase 1 : Website Objectives + Strategy:

We got together on a call to understand the vision, goals and challenges so we could help Interior Delights achieve their business objectives by mapping out the web strategy.

1. Launching a rebranded e-commerce website

The goal was to launch a website that is sleek, modern and on-brand.

Interior Delights already had a Shopify store but the website needed some major redesign. The website had no branding; it didn’t look professional; it wasn’t responsive across devices; and it definitely wasn’t the cutting edge website that belongs to 2021.

Since there was a functional website in place with several orders coming in everyday, we went live with the new one overnight(when traffic is less) to make sure everything works smoothly. There was no downtime for the launch.

2. Increased sales and repeat customers:

  • Brand Identity: To aid increase brand awareness, Ann worked on a fresh branding - sleek, elegant and in line with the natural palette of the products itself.
  • User experience: A great shopping experience is key to referrals and repeat customers. We wanted to encourage users to purchase by making the online store simple, easy to navigate and order from, with minimal required steps and communication.
  • Email marketing: To help build a customer relationship long-term, we would integrate with a great email marketing platform for Shopify stores: Klaviyo.

Phase 2 : Website design:

The design was created in collaboration with Ann Parker from Anthem Creative Co. She did a fabulous job with the sleek, elegant design in line with the natural palette of the products itself.

<were there any special input/ discussions regarding design that i need to add here? Wasn’t sure a lot about the design>

Phase 3 : Shopify design + hand-off:

As you might already know, Shopify is my go-to platform for product-based businesses. It’s great for developers as well as the business owners to manage and grow. Once we finalized the design, development was fun and hassle-free.

Shopify provides a great marketplace for apps that can be easily integrated with the website to strategically drive growth. Important apps that we integrated with and recommend:

  • klaviyo which simplifies email marketing and helps increase sales; we set up different flows for abandoned cart recovery, post purchase email etc, all geared towards building customer relationships which ultimately helps increase sales.
  • instafeed which showcases their instagram feed on the website driving home the brand identity and community

Some integrations/features we added to enhance the shopping experience of customers:

  • Wishlist helps customers add a product they want to their wishlist to buy later.
  • App that tracks orders so customers can stay updated
  • App that lets you place pre-orders so customers do not have to wait for a product to be back in stock.
  • Backend inventory tracking which gives customers an option to be notified when a product is back in stock.
  • The site is responsive on different device sizes: mobiles, tablets and desktops.

We added the blog pages, to increase engagement with an option to choose a featured post so they can highlight and showcase an important blog post.

We made a unique tutorial library for the client with videos on how to manage and customize the new website, how to add new product details, etc so that they would be able to make changes on their own easily.

The results:

The new look was launched with no downtime to the existing store. This amazing collaboration resulted in one happy client.

Here’s what Ann had to say about the whole process and how the website turned out:

We first learned about Chaitra and PinkPot Studio on a podcast, so we reached out to her for help with our website redesign. I should also mention that we also vetted several local agencies at the same time to compare costs, services, etc. What we found? Chaitra was the only one who really understood our business and the e-Commerce challenges we needed to overcome with our new design. She listened to our needs, was super responsive when we had questions, and provided us with a beautiful new website! Launching our new site was painless and her tutorial videos were so helpful.

Happy clients just remind me why I love doing what I do. I will be back with more results when I have them. Looking to (re)launch a website for your product-based business? Would love for you to get in touch so I can know more!
